Albuquerque School of Excellence -

Students from the Special Education Department had an exciting and meaningful field trip to Durango, Colorado. During their visit, they explored the Railroad Museum, the Animas Museum, and the Animas River Trail, giving them opportunities to learn through real-world experiences. One of the highlights of the trip was riding the Polar Express, which brought joy and excitement to everyone. Students traveled in small groups, allowing them to practice teamwork, communication, and independence. They demonstrated responsibility throughout the day by following directions, staying with their groups, and showing respect at every location. Even with a full schedule, students remained positive, engaged, and enthusiastic about each activity. This field trip was not only fun but also educational, offering valuable life lessons and memorable moments that students will carry with them for years to come.

Congratulations to our FTC team, Phoenixbot, for qualifying for the state championship and for earning the FTC Reach Award. It is incredible to see our students and coaches do a fantastic job in their first year of participation. Thank you, Mr. Russell and Mr. Tiryaki, for mentoring our students.

Happy Spirit Week!
As we get ready for break, our students are allowed to wear spirit wear through the week! From sweaters to Grinch to jammies, we've got some fun fits for everyone to join in on! Show school spirit and don't forget to follow the free dress day dress code still!

Just 2 and a half hours left until our Parade of Nations kicks off our second annual Winter Cheers Multicultural Festival! Come celebrate culture with us today from 10-4 at our ASE Gym! Take a look over all the AweSomE vendors and performer's we'll have while you get ready! We're excited to see you there!

Winter Cheers is almost here! We hope to see you THIS SATURDAY to celebrate our diverse culture and directly interact and engage with our performances, food vendors, and community through our multicultural festival! Join us in our gym from 10-4 to enjoy everything our community has to offer us!

Mrs. King's 8th Grade English classes participated in a Storytelling Workshop from a UNM Student, Arykah Melton, where students created a storyline backwards - starting from the denouement, followed by the climax, conflict, then the exposition. Students were also given tips on making their movie for the Divine Comedy - Inferno.

This weekend we're thrilled to invite back an array of cultures to celebrate our diverse community! Join us Saturday for our second annual Winter Cheers Multicultural Celebration! Wear traditional attire and celebrate music, food, dance, crafts, and more with us from 10am - 3pm in the gymnasium! We would love to see as much of our community to join us in this grand celebration!

No matter the reason - we would love to see you at our craft fair tomorrow from 10am - 3pm at our gym & cafeteria for raffles, food trucks, and of course, crafts for sale! Welcome back, ASE!
We're starting to reach the holiday season, and what better time to give back to to our community's children than donating new, unwrapped gifts to Toys for Tots to help your student compete for a pizza party! Donations will be accepted until the last day before break (December 19th)!

MASSIVE congratulations to our MS girls basketball team for their first-ever championship game! Our girls played hard this season and the payout of being the runner-up champions of MS girls basketball is an achievement ASE is beyond proud to see our girls achieve. It's always wonderful to see our students achieve a new first for our school, and this is certainly thrilling for us to see!
Thanks to our coaches Ms. Wallin and Ms. Tso for seeing our girls to new heights this year!

Tomorrow is our PTO's chipotle fundraiser! Swing by and grab some dinner between 4 and 8pm to help PTO earn a whopping 25% of each sale! We hope to see you there!

ASE Robotics Shines at FLL Regionals!

Our ASE Robotics Team had an incredible weekend at the FIRST LEGO League Regional Competition!

Because of these outstanding achievements, our team is officially advancing to the FLL State Championship!

As part of our ASE House Initiative, House Amistad created heartfelt “Get Well Soon” cards for children at the University of New Mexico Children's Hospital! Their compassion and creativity brought smiles to young patients and showed the true spirit of friendship and service.
