We'd love to extend a huge THANK YOU to our families who came out to visit our annual Explora Family Science Night! Explora and our Mid/High students did a fantastic job of helping provide a wide variety of STEAM activities to engage with during the night, and we loved seeing our students and phoenix families engage with everything available!

From organizing supplies to supporting families in need, our students demonstrated leadership, compassion, and a true commitment to service. We are incredibly proud of the way they represent our school and give back to the community.
Thank you to Ms. Eberthardt and Ms. Bickford for leading our students!

During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to interact with student presenters, experience live demonstrations, and see how curiosity and collaboration bring ideas to life. Join us in celebrating our students’ hard work, creativity, and growing STEM skills!

IT'S BOOK FAIR!
Our family shop is TONIGHT for both Elementary and Mid/High from 4:30-5:45pm - come shop along with your student to start our last quarter with some fresh reads and sweet supplies! From Hunger Games to Hello Kitty, we have a little bit of everything for every interested student, so stop by the book fair while you can!
If you're interested in helping volunteer tonight, please feel free to reach out today and let our PTO president, Ms. Ngoc, know! We would love to have your help!
Remember, if you want to let your child shop on their own, they need a charged eWallet! You can find it at https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/albuquerqueschoolexcellence2

The water line pipe that was damaged today has been repaired! As such, school tomorrow will resume as normal. We'd also like to take a moment to thank you for your quick cooperation today! Pickup went rather smoothly despite the short notice, and we managed to get our students home in a timely manner!

We have to close the Mid/High School for the rest of the day because fiber optic contractors on Lomas Blvd cut the main water line to the building. For now, the Elementary School is okay. Please make arrangements to pick up your Mid/High student(s) from school as soon as possible. If you have students in both buildings, you may pick them up at the same time--the absence will be excused. We are going to allow our students to use their cell phones to contact parents so they know whether they are walking home or being picked up. If your student does not have a cell phone, we will have them contact you from a school phone. Mid/High bus students will not be provided transportation to bus stops due to the midday release. Elementary bus will still run as normal.
Lunch today will be grab and go so students will be available for pick up. The gates on campus will be open for dismissal. We will notify you ASAP about our plans for school tomorrow based on clearance from the plumbers and the Albuquerque Water Authority. Thank you for your patience as we work through this.
Respectfully,
ASE Secondary Administration

Congratulations to our amazing team and coaches for representing our school with excellence and pride!

It's finally here!
Tomorrow our lottery will be rolled LIVE in our ASE Gymnasium at 5:00pm for families to see if your student has been admitted or waitlisted! Can't make it? Don't worry - Check our ASE YouTube page for a livestream option!
If you have an application submitted, please keep an eye on your email around 3pm for an overview of the lottery, including screenshots of what the emails will look like, options you have for accepting seats, and other information to help you move onto acceptance and registration! If you do not get this overview email by 4pm, please feel free to reach out to our enrollment coordinator, Ms. Davidson at jdavidson@abqse.org to ensure your email is correct!

This year's challenge question was, "As natural disasters continue to affect New Mexico (e.g. wildfires, floods, drought, heat waves, dust/windstorms, etc.), how can innovations in STEM help your community predict disaster, mitigate harm, respond effectively, and/or recover long term?” and our team did a wonderful job tackling the subject and presenting their findings!
