This coming Tuesday, YOU can make a difference! Families are invited to the ASE gym to donate blood, platelets, and/or plasma to help save lives! It's time for 6-12th to receive their VILS Chromebooks! Stop by this Saturday, August 10th to pick up your student's Chromebook in the gym from 9am-3pm! Hear praises and commendations from our city and school councils, log in to see the potential they offer, ask questions from our VILS team, and of course, take them home for use! We'll see you there!
Many of you may notice that traffic is difficult to work through - but please be sure to R.I.S.E above the difficulty and follow our rules!

We've had a blast seeing our students back in class today! We're so glad to have everyone back and can't wait to see the great things in store for this year!
While we work on getting uniform shirts in order, we do ask families to have their students wearing khakis with their uniforms. The student handbook specifies that khakis cannot be in varying styles, so be sure your student isn't wearing cargo style or improper length pants. Thank you!
If you have signed up for busing, please make arrangements for your student's transportation for the first few weeks of school!! Due to a lack of drivers, we are NOT able to provide busing until drivers are prepared in roughly 3 weeks. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please feel free to comment and coordinate carpool options as needed.

What better way to get ready for a new year than open house! Tour the school, meet teachers, and get ready for a new year next week on August 1st and 2nd! Families should bring supplies and arrive during their specified time to mind parking. We can't wait to see you there!

The Black Education Act Bureau is hosting their Back to School Kickoff to help students start off a great school year! They will provide backpacks, school supplies, and community resource information. Stop by Taylor Park (7701 Indian School Rd.) on Sunday, Aug. 4th from 1-3pm!
As we start to roll into the new year, our Governing Council is having a special meeting next Saturday, July 27th at 10am! As always, these meetings are open the public for speculation and contribution. What better way to get involved with our school! We hope to see you there!
Our school's IT department has been hard at work getting prepared to distribute Chromebooks to all students grades 5-12 for the 2024-2025 school year. These Chromebooks will be assigned to the student, allowing them to take it home and make use of it outside of the classroom. To make the process as efficient as possible, distribution of the laptops are expected to take place on Saturday, August 10th in the gymnasium. Each student will need 3 forms filled out by them and a parent/guardian. Another reminder will be sent out in July as preparations to begin the new school year draws nearer and nearer.

What a way to wrap up the 2023-2024 school year! A big thanks to our Parent-Teacher Organization for putting together field day! From the dunk tank to inflatables, there was no shortage of fun for our students.
Congrats to all of our students with the artistic expression in multiple competitions and contests, this year was fantastic for developing the A in STEAM education! We're so proud to see so many achievements! Ms. Barren and her students have really risen to excellence with these!

Today mark's the day our 5th graders are promoted from elementary students to middle schoolers! We're so proud of them, and can't wait to see what greatness they bring in their next step into middle school. Celebrate today in the ASE gym at 4pm! An amazing year from all of them!
